Using a semiconductor catalyst with sunlight can make the photodegradation of pollutants an economically viable process since solar energy is abundant natural source. Solar photocatalysis provide clean and green eco-friendly technology for analysis industrial effluents. Photocatalytic deterioration aqueous solution malachite oxalate dye (MGO dye) was studied using gelatin–cerium–copper sulphide (Ge-Ce-CuS) nanoparticles under The were synthesised by hydrothermal process. structural properties have been characterised XRD, SEM, EDS, HR-TEM, XPS. effects initial concentration dye, dosage photocatalyst, reaction time, pH on removal efficiency studied. mineralisation MGO has confirmed chemical oxygen demand (COD) measurements. reusability proved. antibacterial activity nanoparticles. higher photocatalytic degradation Ge-Ce-CuS explained its reduced electron-hole recombination activity.
